Batch #161 “Elise” is a tribute wine from The Vice, honoring their mother Elise, a lifelong Chardonnay enthusiast. Crafted from a single hillside vineyard in Carneros, this Chardonnay is made in a classic Burgundian style—rich, elegant, and nostalgic.
The 2023 vintage brought near-perfect growing conditions, with steady rainfall, a cool, heatwave-free summer, and the winery’s latest-ever Chardonnay harvest. Aged for 14 months in all new French oak barrels with only 15% undergoing malolactic fermentation, it showcases balance, freshness, and a nod to Napa Chardonnays of the 1990s.
