A campaign/project is a finite work with a clear goal that you’d like to bring to life.
The funding goal is the amount of money that a creator needs to complete their project.
Funding on Rise FundN’GO is either
all-or-nothing. No one will be charged for a pledge towards a project unless it reaches its funding goal. This way, creators always have the budget they scoped out before moving forward.
Keep it all. Funds will be transferred direct to the campaign coordinator even if the project does not reach its funding goal. This model lends itself to ongoing charity projects that can still put the funds to use even if the original target is not met.
A creator is the person or team behind the campaign idea, working to bring it to life.
Backers are the people or organisations who pledge money to join creators in bringing projects to life. Rise FundN’GO is not a store, backers support achieving a funding goal.
Rewards are a creator’s chance to share a piece of their project with their backer community. Typically, these are one-of-a-kind experiences, limited editions, or copies of the creative work being produced.

Rewards-based crowdfunding consists of individuals donating to a project or business with the expectation of receiving a non-financial reward in return. This could be anything from just a warm feeling for doing good, to a token of appreciation.

Many backers are rallying around their friends’ projects. Some are supporting a new effort from someone or an organisation they’ve long admired. Some are just inspired by a new idea, while others are motivated to pledge by a project’s rewards — a copy of what’s being produced, a limited edition, or a custom experience related to the project.
Backing a project is more than just pledging funds to a creator and is unlike purchasing items from a shop. It’s pledging your support to a inspirational goal that you want to see exist in the world.

When and how should I start planning my promotion strategy?

You should start planning your promotion strategy as soon as you decide that you want to run a project on Rise FundN’GO!

First think about who your existing community is—friends, family, social media followers—and organize their information into an actionable contact list. This is invaluable for staying organized ahead of their project’s launch.

Next, consider how you’ll message your community. Who do you want to reach by email? How will you use social media? Do you need to plan a press release ahead of time? These are important things to think about when organising a communication plan.

Being able to share your project prior to launching is another important step when planning your promotion strategy.

How can I get press and bloggers to write about my project?

Once you’ve drawn up your press list and planned your promotional efforts, you’ll want to line up press outlets that might be interested in your project. Think about sites that could help amplify your project to your community.

Reaching out to small publications, blogs, and local outlets can be just as valuable as a larger news sites, where your story might get lost in the mass of submissions.

Your project’s dashboard contains up-to-the-minute stats about your funding progress. From there, you can monitor referrer information.

If my project is successfully funded, how do I receive my funds?

All or Nothing

If your project is successfully funded, the funds pledged are debited directly from backers’ cards. There is a 14-day window following your project’s deadline for collecting and processing pledges. Once the 14-day window has passed, funds will automatically be transferred directly to your bank account. Please allow a bit of time for this transfer to take place; it can take an additional few days depending on the bank involved.

How do I set up my account to receive funds?

You can set up your account details through Rise FundN’GO, on the Payment tab of your project draft. We’ve partnered with Stripe for this process, and it should only take a few minutes to complete.

This process will require you to fill out your contact details, set your funds recipient, verify the fund recipient’s identity, fill out the fund recipient’s direct deposit account, and add a payment source.

Please note that this process must be fully completed in order to launch your project.

Is the financial information that I share on the Account tab secure?

Any financial details that you share when setting up the Account section of your project are not shared publicly. The information that you provide is used to ensure that you’ll be ready to receive funds if your project is successfully funded.

Stripe, our payments partner, meets and exceeds the most stringent industry standards for security. Additionally, this page is protected by an industry-standard software protocol called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which encrypts your personal information.

Don’t panic! This “plateau” is normal for most campaigns and there’s a lot that you can do continue spreading the word:

– Ask friends and family to share your project with their networks. Getting your project beyond your immediate audience can only help.

– Activate any connections that you have with press or bloggers. Focus on outlets relevant to your project.

Backer Questions

This depends on the campaigns funding model;

all-or-nothing. If the project you’re backing is successfully funded, your card will be charged when the project reaches its funding deadline. If the project does not reach its funding goal, your card is never charged.

Some backers may see a temporary authorization of funds at the time of pledging, before a project has been successfully funded. Authorizations generally drop after a few days, but this process can vary depending on your financial institution. If you notice an authorization that doesn’t drop, we recommend that you contact your bank for more details about their authorization procedure.

Keep it all. As soon as the pledge is made.

Go to the project you’d like to support and click the “Back this project” button on the page. Alternatively, you can scroll down to select a reward tier. If you don’t want a specific reward, select the “Pledge without a reward” tier at the top and enter your desired pledge amount. If your reward involves shipping, be sure to select the appropriate country from the drop-down menu.
After you’ve selected your reward tier and shipping option, you’ll be prompted to enter your payment details. To complete your pledge, click the “Pledge” button and you’ll be all set! You should receive a confirmation email to confirm that you are now a backer of the project
Should you wish you are able to create an account.
